Our Vision

Computational Thinking Competency For All Children

Our Core Beliefs

  • We value people, their inborn creativity and dignity, their power to design, build and rebuild ingenious systems that enrich and give life meaning.
  • We value play, where people find permission to take risks, to fail and have fun trying again and again. In play people are empowered to move freely through rigid structures, like rules, cultural norms or personal belief systems. In that freedom is the potential for transformation, for a break-through beyond all that confines us.
  • We value possibility, which exists in the moment of break-through, when a game’s structure and rules suddenly shift. To experience possibility is to be inspired to engage fully, to co-create the world we share to play in.
  • We value partnership, and seize opportunities to play with others to enlarge our work and enrich our process. The Institute considers all its staff, supporters, stakeholders, volunteers, friends and fellow travelers important partners and views their engagement as a precondition of success.

Our Mission

To Teach All Children Digital Literacy Through Computational Thinking

The Problems We Address

Jules Ventures Private Limited brings a truly revolutionary approach to education, tackling head-on some of the most critical questions for education in the future.

  • Have we taught our children how to think, rather than what to think?
  • Are schools teaching what’s relevant for the future?
  • What kind of skills would be needed for the 4th Industrial Revolution?
  • Are we teaching children using the best principles from early-childhood psychology and neuroscience?
  • Are there any preconceived notions constraining us from providing the best for our children?

We assembled a team of expert Early Childhood Educators, Game Designers and Technologists to tackle these problems head-on by designing a unique solution.

Our Guiding Principles

1. CREATE EXPERIENCES KIDS LOVE AND ALL ELSE WILL FOLLOW

People learn best when they are interested and engaged. Kids love games, but not all games. Unlike countless education and learning apps, we create experiences that kids love first, and the learning follows. We want kids to stay on our games, and learn from them, not because a teacher or parent is forcing them to, but because they love the experiences we offer. In short, we surprise and delight our users.

2. COMPUTATIONAL THINKING IS A REQUIRED LITERACY

The digital age has only just begun. The value of computational cognitive skills will only continue to increase as automation replaces more and more of the skills and knowledge we have traditionally learned or memorized. We aspire to help educators, policy makers, and consumers understand the critical skills needed for computational thinking. Our future generation must be prepared for a new reality.

3. LITERACY IS BEST LEARNED AT A YOUNG AGE

Kids surprise us with their learning speed, and we love that. We know that the brain is more open to new patterns and processes in pre-adolescence, and learning any language is best accomplished when the brain is most malleable. Our solutions engage learners as young as age 3, but we want our products to remain engaging as children get older.

4. GAMING CAN BE EDUCATIONAL

We aim to change the common perception that gaming is a waste of time. As a technology company first, but also an educational company, we are relentless in our pursuit of demonstrating to the world that online gaming can improve learning and educational processes. We strive for teachers and parents to want their children to play our games.

5. EDUCATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT

All children, regardless of gender, location, or socio-economic factors, can benefit from Computational Thinking. We are a for-profit social enterprise with a mission to provide fun learning opportunities for all, not just the elite.

6. GREAT IS OUR STARTING POINT

We think that’s where we need to start in today’s competitive and global environment. We’re excited by disruptive, world-changing opportunities because we want our future generations to have the cognitive foundation that enables them to succeed and solve problems we can’t even dream of today. We accept that we can’t achieve all the things we want yet, because we know that by stretching to achieve them we can get further than expected and further than anyone else has been able to do.
